This lip pencil is absolute perfection. I've been wearing this color in this pencil form for years and receive compliments every single time I have it on. I am very upset that Nars change the formula to this perfect pencil in matte. The "NEW" pencils that came out this year are HORRID. They dry your lips. The formula is similar to that of their lip glosses. Simply horrible. I do not know why they changed it. If they ever make them like this one again I'll buy. But I'm not buying the new ones.

I was looking for a color that was just a tad darker than my natural lip color and I am so glad that NARS came through with something absolutely perfect for me! Do Me Baby is a stunning color, the texture is silky smooth, and I couldn't be happier with this purchase. It even matches my nail color- double score!!

A WONDERFUL Lip Color

Finally a perfect shade of red that works for me! (Dragon Lady) Beautiful pigmentation, and easy to apply. Has great staying power that lasts even after eating and drinking with minimal needs to reapply. Occasional I dabbed on a little bit of lip gloss for a softer look to changed it up from the matte finished look. Will try other colors. Highly recommended it.

These Nars Velvety Matte Lip Pencils are a testament to what a lip product should be. Easy to use pencil form with a beautiful velvety matte finish. This lightweight feel makes it easy to give you full, bold looking lips. This shade Train Bleu is a deep aubergine or purple color. Yes it's a darker shade but actually looks quite alluring and attractive on the lips. It's a deep berry with cool undertones that give you a semi opaque coverage. I am looking for more richer, darker shades for upcoming colder months and this really looks stunning on the lips. It doesn't go on patchy or will it feather but gives you rich even color. The texture of this semi matte formula is velvety smooth feeling really comfortable wearing. The pencil shape design makes it easy to apply plus also line the lips to give you complete control on your coverage. Pigmentation varies from shade to shade but for Train Bleu it's impressive. One application is plenty enough for day time or you can build for more bolder evenings out. I adore the Nars Velvet Matte lip products and have many different shades. This particular shade to me is non drying and long lasting. I can wear this for 7 hours or more with my color going strong. The smooth and creamy formula glides on effortlessly and gives you a amazing balance of velvety matte glamour. Staying power is impeccable, won't crack or fade thought out the day. The color is rich, intense, and luxurious feeling all in a pencil form. Comes in a variety of shades and is easy to carry along with you anywhere. My go to for 10+ years. Highly pigmented, stays put but it's creamy and doesn't dry out my lips. This is my forever red.

This is a nice lip crayon formula, and "Dolce Vita" is a pretty warm rosy toned shade. It's not really mattifying, despite the name, but also doesn't last terribly long either. If you like lip crayons, you'll like this one - personally, I just prefer a different style of lip product.
