So I was nervous cooking a turkey for the first time but it was easy and a simple cleaning after the turkey. The mainstay roaster pan held up pretty good. It didn't make a a sound or twisted like other products. The rack is non stick and the whole pan is non sticks so when a washed it, I didn't have to soak it. The rack has enough room to cook bottom and top, which it was a nice change from soggy bottom turkey. I even used it to roast a bag of potatoes. Which i cook once a week with carrots. Great material and dont forget to maintain any pot or pan with no soaking it to long. Enjoy

Turkey time

Have been using a covered stainless steel roasting pan forever. Since this arrived just before Thanksgiving, I decided to try it this year! It easily accommodated my 14 pound turkey and would have handled a 20 pound one, had I had one that large!

The rack is perfect -- better than any I've used before! The interior really is non-stick, and cleaning up was a breeze.

The turkey was perfect... crispy skin, juicy inside. Couldn't ask for anything more. Would also be good for a very large sheet cake or one of those one-pan baking pan dinner recipes!

All I can say is 'WOW' !!!

I was very surprised that this pan is so huge for the price as it will fit a very large turkey in it with plenty of room. The reason I like it is because it has a roasting rack that comes with it and it has high sides so that the valuable turkey juices cant spill out during the roasting time a I s make lots of turkey gravy and need all of the juices so this works good for me. I also never had a nonstick roasting pan and this is a great feature as it makes much faster clean up when it is time to do all of the Thanksgiving dishes. Usually I am scrubbing the bottom of the pan off but with this it is nonstick and everything just slides off, I really like that. I love the roasting rack as it has good strong handles to pull the big turkey out of the pan and on to the carving platter. I have had other ones that didn't work out so well. So it is nice to know that I have this big roaster whenever I need a bigger pan to roast something huge like a turkey. This would be ideal of a big prime rib as before I never had a good pan for prime rib and now I do. It is made good enough that it will probably last me forever, I am very happy with this roasting pan with rack.

good pan for the price

I received this roasting pan just in time for Thanksgiving. I did not have a turkey, but I roasted two 6 lb chickens. Both chickens fit perfectly in the roaster together. They were crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. The true test for this roasting pan was fo after I used it for cooking. I have thrown out several pans in the past because they were impossible to clean after using. I was so at how easy this pan was to clean. I actually left it sitting on the stove overnight, so I figured all the pan drippings would need to be soaked off. I rinsed it and all the funk on the bottom washed off. I was amazed! Once I added soap, it was a cinch to clean the rest. This roasting pan is definitely a keeper, and I will definitely recommend it to family and friends.

Extremely easy to clean

Received this roaster as a member of the Sparks Reviewer Program and it arrived on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving! This year I roasted two 10 pound birds and was able to put them side by side in this one pan. I love the weight of the pan, it is not heavy on its own, so when you put the meat in the pan you can lift it without the aid of additional family members. It is nonstick which is also a big plus. As I have gotten a little older, my fifties, I have come to appreciate nonstick and lightweight cookware. I was impressed with this Mainstays roaster right out of the box, thanks again Walmart !

Great lightweight roaster !!

I received this Mainstays open roaster with rack as a product review. I had a similar one previously and liked it and used it often. I chose this as a replacement. We're using it for our turkey on Thanksgiving at my son and daughter-in-law's home. She's never used one so she is in for a delightful and tasty turkey with a very flavorful browned skin and moist meat. I've used it for pork and certain cuts of beef. Doing Tri-tip cuts of beef the outside is browned with the inside rare to my liking. The meat is tender and very tasty. You will enjoy meal greatly when using this Mainstays open roaster/rack. I personally recommend it as an addition to your kitchen cookware.

Prepare yourself ..

We used this for our 11-pound Thanksgiving spiral sliced ham. It was nice to have the ham lifted up, away from its juices. We basted it in it's own juices every half hour for about 3 hours. It was well worth the effort. And it made it easier to serve because the ham didn't get soggy on the bottom. It made it much easier to cut, store, and serve.

4 stars because I owned one a few years ago but had to throw it out because it became too stained to use. Food that bakes into the pan is impossible to remove.

Overall this is a great rack for someone who roasts a turkey once a year. We roasted a 21 pound bird this year with great results. It is also very functional for making big batches of chex mix every holiday season!

Excellent budget roasting pan and rack

Love thr pan. Well made. Worked good in my moms oven at Thanksgiving for thr turkey. Pan is nice. The rack workes great for keeping the juices off thr turkey. However we handwashed the rack the finish came off after just on hand washing in several spots.

Mainstays Roasted with rack

If I could give this pan a -0 I would!!!  Don't buy this pan. I had it for like 3 years and today I noticed while washing it. The inside of the pan started peeling up in large peices. I was going to save the Turkey juices to make a soup but can't now.

Worst pan and very dangerous.
