Hamilton Beach 12 Cup Coffee Maker

Receiving this product was my great delight. I have a smaller coffee maker but must make multiple pots to supply our needs. This is up to 12 hot fresh cups of coffee with each brew.
The shipment arrived with no damage due to excellent packing and support of coffee maker by Hamilton Beach. This is a glass carafe which is very amply packed as well. 

Mine was black. The one feature I really love is the water filter. IF you have water supply that sometimes gets little ‘strong' this will help and if not, it is still great. Water can contain impurities that can be filtered out by the filter. I understand by reading the replacement parts section is contains charcoal which is very good for water filtering. The filter goes in back compartment on right side. Instruction booklet has easy to follow instructions for placing/replacing filter.
Unpack, assembly the water filter (very easy to do and instructions are given), insert water filter after soaking it and run one pot of plain water thru the maker. You are ready for coffee.

•	Fill carafe with amount of water needed for cups you want. 
•	Measure one (1) level tablespoon (15ml ground coffee) per cup. 
•	Place filter (5 are provided) in basket, 
•	Add ground coffee and close the basket, 
•	Pour the water into the reservoir via the easy access fill compartment by lifting front lid. 
•	You are ready. 
•	Now if you just want regular coffee, push the I/O (on/off) square button on front and you are making coffee. (There are features to make 1-4 cups, regular brew or Bold brewing. Instructions are given.)
•	The warming plate keeps your coffee warm without giving it that “burn” taste so many makers do.
•	That's it! You have a pot of hot, to your liking brew of coffee. Enjoy!

On the control pad (as I call it) the display shows how much time has passed since you started to brew your pot of coffee, so if it is there too long: You know without having to taste test.  Just one point, it does shut off and heating plate as well in 2 hours. 

Once finished, rinse and clean carafe. With damp moist (not soaking wet) cloth wipe down the maker. 
You can unplug the maker if you like OR you can program for the next pot of coffee if you know when you want it. Programming is easy and covered in instruction booklet. ONE POINT-each time you unplug your maker, you reset the clock and the countdown to replace your filter. Filter should be replaced after about 60 pots are made. I really like how easy the Hamilton Beach 12-cup Programmable Easy Access Plus Coffeemaker is to use. You can choose different strengths of brews for your coffee and you can also choose to brew only 4 cups at a time. You add the water at the front so you don't need to pull the maker out from under the counter to add the water. The basket swings out so that it is easy to add the coffee and filter too. Great coffeemaker!!

++ I was so glad to find this new one in the same form factor as the last. The previous version lasted just beyond warranty and maybe I killed it with infrequent vinegar cleaning. 
++ This one was on a sale that was so good that I bought two and got the free shipping.
++ I love that this pot can be made to sit with just the front just out of the cabinet above and it does not have to be moved to make coffee. I made a shaped shelf (just big enough to hold four little coffee containers) behind it to keep it from moving when the buttons are pressed. 
++ It uses the cone filters. I bought two screen filters when I got my first one of these and first one is has been good for years. The cone coffee filter seems to "shape" the water to get better and more even use of the grounds.
++ Regular, 1 to 4 cups, and Bold settings. Mine remains on Bold and I can make 20 ounces of BOLD coffee with a scoop of grounds.
++ I wake to the wonderful smell of fresh coffee setup and programed the night before.

I've used this coffee maker every single day for the last month since I first got it, and it continues to works great! Super easy to use, easy to clean, and I LOVE the programmable start time and auto shut off if you forget to turn it off. Love the stainless design and looks great next to our expresso machine! We definitely love our coffee!

Perfect coffee every single time!

What a great coffee maker! The controls are intuitive and easy to use.  It is easy to program, easy to fill, and easy to clean. The large "Brew Now" button is great! I love the ability to fill the reservoir from the front without needing to pull the whole unit all the way out from under the counter. Although I think that a slight modification in the design would allow for easier filling without needing to move the unit at all, and could also reduce spills. Overall, it is a great machine. The "Time since last brew" feature is not necessary for me, but I can see how it would be nice to have in a small office setting.  The black and stainless finish looks great and fits the look of my kitchen and other appliances.
Most importantly, it makes good coffee!  The water is heated to a good brewing temperature and the cone shaped filter is great to brew good robust coffee! The glass carafe is light and easy to keep clean, and it pours evenly with no spills. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

It's everything you need from a coffee maker!

So far so good. It's nice looking and easy to use. Takes the V shapes filters so had to go purchase those. I replaced my other coffee maker since it didn't have auto shut off. This one does which I really appreciate. I use BOLD brew which makes a good cup of coffee

Nice coffee maker

It is a bit larger than my previous coffee maker so takes up more counter space, and it can't really be put right under the cabinets above (feature advertised), because then you can't access the water door on top. However, the design is good in that the coffee grounds are easily poured in via a pop-open door on the front of the unit. We like the "bold" setting with our Van Houtte French Roast - good strong coffee.
