We would like to inform you that the Shark® DuoClean® Lift-Away Speed™ Upright Vacuum's Anti-Allergen Complete Seal technology with HEPA filter traps dust, dander, allergens, and more to keep them out of the air you breathe. We recommend washing the HEPA filter once every 12 months by rinsing it with water with the dirty side face-down until the water runs clear. Let the filter air-dry completely for at least 24 hours before reinstalling. We recommend cleaning the pre-motor filters once every 3 months using the same process.

I don't know if I have the writing capability sufficient to allow me to tell everyone how much I LOVE this vacuum! I am so happy with my Shark DuoClean Lift-Away Speed Upright Vacuum NV770 and wish I could give them away to everyone I know. I will have to just keep annoying people with how great it is. Okay, this vacuum is amazing! First of all, it's very, very powerful. So much so, it almost seems to ‘take off' if you will, it actually pulls slightly forward as though it's trying to take flight! It cleans the carpet very, very well. I was kind of grossed out how much it pulled up! Mostly because I had just recently vacuumed, but of course I just had to try it out as soon as it came in.

The best part, it has a light! I remember when I was younger, most vacuums did, but it's been a while since I personally have had one that did. I thought maybe they were gone. Overall, I couldn't even be more pleased. Not only does it clean very well, it's lightweight and requires no bags or any other items to use.

 You need one!

The Shark DuoClean Lift-Away Speed Upright Vacuum NV770 is a very nice little vacuum, but don't let its small size fool you! Boy does this vacuum pick up stuff! Another great feature about the Shark DuoClean Lift Away Speed Upright is that it is self-propelled! This makes it easy to maneuver. No matter your age, physical capabilities, handicap – this vacuum is very easy to use and push. It is also great for cleaning the hard to reach places like steps or under the fridge and stove, and with just a flick of a button (the button is a toggle switch rather than a push button) that is easy to reach, you can go from vacuuming carpet to cleaning and buff your hard floors! The canister is very easy to remove and dump. I personally like vacuums with dumping canisters rather than “bag” vacuums because of allergies. I have another heavy duty “pet” vacuum from another company that I purchased a few years ago. I would have to say that the Shark DuoClean Lift Away Speed Upright Vacuum is the one I reach for now. It is so much easier to for me with knee and back issues to run the Shark through the house. I don't feel like I'm pushing pounds around the house. With just a little push, the Shark takes off! Like I said, it's self-propelled; and if you ask your husband – every man who has to walk behind a lawn mower wants a self-propelled lawn mower, not a “push mower”. The same is true with vacuums! I'd rather walk behind one that glides than one I have to push!

Self-Propelled! FINALLY!

I have had this vacuum about a month now. The suction is still very strong on both bare floors and carpets. The canister that holds the dirt looks small but actually holds a lot more than one would think before you need to empty it. The canister detaches from the floor roller so it's lighter to carry when doing stairs or other overhead vacuuming. There is also a detachable hose for vacuuming up high, vacuuming furniture, cobwebs, etc. There are 2 tools, a small brush and a crevice tool, and the electrical cord is extremely long so you can go very far with the vacuum before having to find another outlet. I've had several vacuums recently and this one is by far my favorite. Highly recommended.

A fantastic vacuum

I really like this vacuum! To start, it's the power. It really sucks (Pun intended)! In addition, putting the entire vacuum together straight out of the box is a breeze. Also, disconnecting sections for easier portability is fairly simple too. 

When you open the box, everything intuitively comes together. Pieces are labeled, sections / shapes look pretty obvious, such that snapping the base spinner to the main body / canisters and the wand / hose all can be done without instructions. Make sure to remove the stickers on the bottom of the two rollers. 

The two rollers are such a great design! It can pick up cheerios, goldfish, and dried pasta. It really makes clean up a breeze. In addition, there are two settings for the speed of rotation (hardwood and carpet) which makes sure that both surfaces look perfectly clean. One of the rotors seems like a nice polish for hardwood, while the more traditional rotor does all of the heavy lifting. 

If you'd like, you can disconnect the main canister from the rotors and hold it around as you vacuum stairs, ceiling corners, tops of shelves / windows. It's a genius design that requires you to only push one button. In addition, the hose comes right off so you can extend it to reach hard to reach places. 

Finally, disposing of the debris is a snap too where one latch disconnects the waste bin from the vacuum, and another snap opens the bottom latch to release all the trash. There are no bags needed and the filters keep all the air coming out clean. 

This is a great vacuum for the home and also for the car in the garage. My only gripe (but not enough to lower the star rating) is the width of the bristle brush rotors. I personally wish it was slightly wider by an inch or two to help vacuum larger areas of the house. However, I can see how a smaller width is handy for a smaller area / house.

Portable and Handy Vacuum!

This vacuum has a remarkable set of spinning beater bars -- two of them -- which not only picks up everything but it also propels the vacuum forward. And yet, I was happy to find that the whole vacuum swivels easily and is remarkably nimble and easy for me to maneuver. There is a bright "headlight" when the vacuum is turned on, which is more helpful than I could have imagined, since it helps see feet on furniture and small items I may not have noticed without the light. In vacuuming what I thought were already basically clean rugs, this super efficient vacuum filled the canister completely on each rug. Even though I had thought that they were pretty clean already, I was really happy to have such clean rugs, carpets -- and floors, too. We have a few family member that are very sensitive to dust and other irritants, so I was glad to be able to really deep clean the carpets with this vacuum. There is a even a setting which slows down the speed of the rollers and it gets every speck of dust off our heavily textured floor. Another really nice feature is that the cord is really long and it allows me to reach over thirty feet away from the outlet, so I don't have to keep unplugging and replugging it in. Also, I like how the handle of the vacuum loops in a way that's very comfortable for me to hold and it also makes it easy to handle, too.

Works great!

This vacuum is amazing. The suction is so strong it seems like its moving itself. There are design flaws with this. First there is a microfiber roller that is great for getting everything up off of the floor but becomes disgusting after a few uses. It is washable but takes a full day to air dry. There is also a comb that is attached in front of the roller this is to prevent anything from getting away but it fills with hair and lint and has to be removed manually. The brush in the head of this is great it picks up everything, unfortunately it doesn't let go of everything so once again you have hair and lint in the brush that you have to remove manually. There are so many steps to use this as a lift away and to empty the canister. Even with all that, this vacuum is so awesome I would continue to use it and reccomend.

Awesome!

I own an excellent vacuum, or at least I thought I did until I received this Shark. The suction is excellent both as an upright and as a canister style. The multi-uses all in a compact, convenient design is the best part of this appliance. The ability to have a short at hand cleaning device then just put it back into the holster and pull out an extension that lets me clean ceiling fans, walls, curtains, blinds, tops of shelves and anything else I choose without a huge amount of effort. Then I can lift the canister from the appliance and walk where ever I need to go. The cord is long which is greatly appreciated. I can sweep half of my house before unplugging and moving. The upright assembly has the choice of a quality brush or just suction; suction that is perfect for a house with pets and kids. The attachments stay in place on the frame without interfering with use. The absolute most important aspect of this device is the EASE of USE - with just the twist of the wrist this vacuum turns a hard left or right making the maneuvering easy on the back and overall body. As a nurse I stand 12-16 hrs a shift, I have lots of wear and tear on my body -this sweeper is a joy to operate. I find that I do not dread sweeping. Its so lightweight and easy that my 4 & 5-year-old grandsons love to use it. The dogs don't mind the noise, even those that ran from my other sweeper just watch this shark move around the room. The bagless, easy-on easy off canister is wonderful!! I love this Shark, it will live at our house from now on!!
