This extender is a huge upgrade to my former extender, which started acting very flakey after 8 or 0 years of good service. I took a chance on this "refurbished" item because the price was drastically reduced, by 70%, from its original $99 retail price. I liked the fact that if it did not perform that Walmart would make it right.

Great Bargain

For a refurbished unit it seems to be working just like I need it to as an access point.
It was recertified by Netgear once I saw that I felt confendent that the unit would work.
Great price for this unit works like new.

This refurbished unit came brand new, got signal from 50 ft away and now i can connect to the main Access Point, all well packaged in a brown box with protective plastic film as if it were new product , you can not go wrong with Netgear wireless extenders

The unit I received can't work continuously for more than 6 hours! I had to reboot for it to work. if it got unplugged, it would factory reset and have to start setup from scratch. So, I ordered a new one.

I'll update when my new one is delivered.

This extender has been a constant headache for years. Half the time it won't connect and the other half of the time it only works for certain applications.

Ive had problems with this extender since day one, the conenction isnt strong and I cant even get support help, its been updated always and still disconnects and reconnects randomly

Terrible connection even at short distance

It MIGHT be a good product but how would you know as it's impossible to even install. The instructions are not at all helpful. It tells you to simply connect to it then load a URL to finish the instillation. One TINY problem. Once you are connected to it, IT is NOT connected to the internet so HOW are you going to then go to a website to finish the instillation WHEN YOU ARE NOT CONNECTED TO THE INTERNET?! HUNDREDS of comments on the set up YT video saying the same thing as well. Waste of my time and my money.

Can't Even Install It

I have to constantly reboot this extender in order to reconnect devices that randomly lose WiFi connections!   The WiFi also slows down before this happens.  With all the unresolved bugs, I see why the original owners returned these and Netgear has so many refurbished EX6200 WiFi Extenders to dump from their inventory.

Good reason why there's lots of refurbished units

Drops things constantly, makes my smart plugs freak out randomly, took over my other WIFI routers.  DO NOT BUY THIS JUNK!!!
