Editor's Pick: Keep a few cans of tomato paste in your pantry so weeknight pasta dinners don't feel rushed. Made with Roma tomatoes — fewer seeds, deeper flavor — it cooks down into a sauce that clings perfectly to noodles. A 24-can case stores easily without taking up much space; just pop one open for pizza base sauce or when braising meat.
