Apple has officially updated its external display lineup, introducing the all-new Studio Display and Studio Display XDR. Both products are deeply optimized for Mac, with upgrades in display quality and audiovisual experience, covering everything from everyday creative work to professional imaging workflows.
Studio Display: High-Spec Creative Screen for Daily Use
The Studio Display features a 27-inch 5K Retina panel with 5120×2880 resolution, 218 ppi, P3 wide color gamut support, and 600 nits brightness. The screen is crisp and sharp, perfect for photo editing, video cutting, office work, and multimedia entertainment.
Ports have been upgraded to Thunderbolt 5, supporting high-speed data transfer and daisy-chain expansion (up to 4 displays). A single cable connection to Mac enables video output and up to 96W reverse power delivery, keeping your desk cleaner.
Comes standard with a 12-megapixel Center Stage camera that supports auto-centering and desk view; built-in three-microphone array and six-speaker system with Spatial Audio support, providing a more complete experience for video conferencing and multimedia.

Studio Display XDR upgrades to mini-LED backlight technology with 2000+ local dimming zones, achieving a contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1. It offers 1000 nits typical SDR brightness and up to 2000 nits HDR peak brightness, ideal for high dynamic range content creation.
Supports 120Hz Adaptive Sync (47–120Hz), providing smoother and more stable performance for high frame rate content and dynamic visuals. Color gamut covers both P3 and Adobe RGB, meeting the needs of color-sensitive professional work.

I don't need any A19 Pro chip at all—what's a monitor doing with a flagship phone chip?
