Editor's Pick: When your driveway ices over and you don't want to spread salt shovel by shovel, just push this along and it lays it down evenly. The 100-lb (45 kg) hopper covers a large area in one fill, and the internal auger breaks up clumps of salt so the outlet doesn't clog easily. The handle stays easy to grip even with thick gloves on, and the rear and side deflectors let you adjust the spread width so you can control coverage separately along the roadside and the middle of the yard. The 12-inch pneumatic tires won't slip on snow, and the sealed gearbox keeps out snow and slush.
