Editor's Pick: If you already own a lot of Milwaukee tools, having a couple of spare batteries on hand is always reassuring. The 12.0Ah battery is great for power-hungry jobs like chainsaws and angle grinders—you can cut for half a day without swapping batteries mid-task. The 8.0Ah battery is better balanced on drills and impact drivers, so your arm won't get as tired holding it up to work. The FORGE series uses high-output cells, so high-power tools run at full strength, and they don't drain as fast when you're working outdoors in winter.

: Will a 12.0Ah battery be too heavy on the chainsaw? 12.0Ah
: 12.0Ah itself has some weight to it, which actually makes the saw more stable. It's not a burden for heavy-duty work, and personally, I find it acceptable. 12.0Ah

: The OEM batteries are expensive but they definitely last longer than off-brand ones. This set is suitable for high-load tools. Getting one large and one small for 279 is a pretty good price lately.
