Editor's Pick: Building on the well-received Nightmare semi-aluminum model, the Nightmare Extreme showcased at Computex finally completes the last piece of the puzzle for beginners going from entry-level to endgame — a wireless full-aluminum build. As long as you find the Nightmare Extreme's appearance acceptable, this is the definitive answer for mainstream users getting into custom keyboards. At the very least, its performance and build quality are in a league of their own, and the US version doesn't require the reservation-and-rush process that the China version does.

So how does ASUS solve the Faraday cage shielding issue with a full aluminum shell? Just take a look at the rear and it becomes clear — ASUS made a plastic cover printed with ROG that blocks the antenna gap. What a clever little trick.
