: How's the price? Is it worth buying?
回复 @吉吉吉吉吉吉 : Thank you for your suggestion. I use an LG 55G4 and a 27GP950 interchangeably. When both are set to maximum brightness, the G5's screen brightness is not noticeably dimmer than the top-tier Nano IPS displays of its time. QD-OLED monitors are slightly dimmer, but it's definitely not to the point of being hard to see. My first OLED monitor was the 48GQ900, purchased in mid-2022. Apart from direct comparison with the HDR600-rated 27GP950, I never really noticed it being particularly dim. Regarding burn-in, that 48GQ900 was used for about 10 hours daily during its service, with roughly 6 hours of that being high-brightness Excel work. Under these conditions, there was no visible burn-in during normal use until it was retired. The only issue was in mid-2024, just before the warranty expired. During a check, I noticed sporadic uneven brightness when displaying a full black screen. After sending it for after-sales service, they flashed a firmware that reduced brightness, causing full white screens to appear dim. Otherwise, I wouldn't have needed to replace it with the G4. My advice is that for everyday use, the brightness of modern OLEDs is completely sufficient. Worrying about visible burn-in that even affects usability within three years is purely unnecessary anxiety.
回复 @德国小蠊 : I just bought an LG G5 55-inch open-box model two weeks ago, intending to use it as a monitor, but it turned out to be too big and ended up as a TV at the foot of my bed. OLED TVs have always been much brighter than OLED monitors, easily reaching 900 nits in SDR full-screen mode. However, OLED monitors aren't really that bright, except for the fourth-generation WOLED tandem OLED, which hasn't been released yet—it can achieve 350 nits in 4K 32-inch SDR full-screen mode. Mine is a fourth-generation QD-OLED, and in SDR full-screen mode displaying white, it maxes out at 275 nits (with uniform brightness turned off), at 95% brightness, which is about the same as my LG 32GQ950B at 40% brightness. Moreover, this is a third-generation QD-OLED, so its SDR brightness should be around 250 nits. For $450, you can easily get a 4K IPS high-refresh-rate monitor that exceeds 250 nits. However, this Dell monitor is perfect for watching movies, videos, and playing on the PS5 Pro, but I don't think it's suitable for office work—maybe I just have higher brightness requirements.
: Has anyone who has already purchased this encountered a sudden black screen that then returns to normal? Is there any way to fix it? Thank you.
GK2D3Nl7 : For the power issue, try changing the plug. As for the motherboard, you'd need to contact customer service for a proper diagnosis. If you're really worried, just return it and buy a new one. Dell itself seems to offer remote diagnostics, and if repairs are needed, they might send you a temporary monitor to use in the meantime, but that sounds a bit troublesome. The simplest solution is probably just to return it to Costco and buy another one.
: It sounds like there might be an issue with the motherboard or insufficient power supply. If it's not a functional screen-clearing setting, then there's probably something wrong.

: Are OLED monitors this cheap now? Shocked.
回复 @匿名用户 : HDMI 2.1 is better than DP 1.4, so there's no way they'd give you DP 2.1 for this price. hdmi2.1大于dp1.4啊这钱不可能给你dp2.1的
: It's just that this one is cheap... This is a rather unconventional product. It uses a third-generation QD-OLED panel, which was originally designed for gaming. However, the series this monitor belongs to is positioned for productivity. Therefore, it lacks the high refresh rates and physical DisplayPort interfaces designed for gaming found in other QD-OLED screens of the same generation. Instead, it features multiple USB-C video input ports, a hallmark of the productivity series... But when it comes to productivity, the third-generation QD-OLED panel has characteristics like red-tinted blacks in bright environments, unclear font edges due to the triangular RGB subpixel arrangement, and potential burn-in from displaying static content for long periods, which are quite detrimental to productivity applications... In short, this is a very special, unconventional, and somewhat "neither fish nor fowl" product...
: Only one HDMI 2.1 只有一个hdmi 2.1
: Isn't this Type-C?
回复 @Bazinga0506 : Oh, right, 3 Type-C ports. Sorry, I misread!
: Good price 好价
