The new V5 dish launched on July 15 in select U.S. regions, such as Montana. Its weight is now comparable to the Starlink Mini, but this model is designed for fixed use only and does not support mobile operation.

Current purchase considerations include the following restrictions:

▫️ Hardware Bundle: Sold with the Router Mini.

▫️ Plan Requirement: Currently only supports the entry-level residential plan at $55 per month.

▫️ Advanced Options: Higher-tier plans still require the V4 hardware and Router 3.

Elon Musk stated that the V5 model will be mass-produced in the future. Additionally, Starlink's next-generation mobile network is expected to launch around 2027 (estimated), offering an experience close to 5G networks.
