Spy x Family is set in a fictional world where two nations, Westalis and Ostania, are locked in a prolonged Cold War. To maintain peace, both countries secretly deploy spies to carry out espionage missions.
Westalis spy "Twilight" is assigned a mission codenamed "Operation Strix," which requires him to create a fake family and get close to a target. To complete the mission, Twilight recruits Yor Forger, an assassin known as the "Thorn Princess," and Anya Forger, an orphan with telepathic abilities.
And so, a makeshift family made up of a spy, an assassin, and a psychic is born. How will they complete their mission and protect world peace without revealing their true identities?
