Editor's Pick: If you want to sketch something on the go without hauling around a pile of art supplies, this set is ready to use the moment you open it. The 36 colors give you plenty of range for layering, the paint blends smoothly, and blending and transitions are easy to work with. The lid doubles as a mixing palette, and the metal tin snaps shut to fit right in your bag—handy for sketching outdoors or doodling at a coffee shop.
