Many users say this backpack has a large capacity, thoughtful pocket design, sturdy materials and zippers, and adjustable shoulder strap height. Editor's Pick: For a weekend two-day, one-night trip into the mountains, you can fit a change of clothes, sleeping bag, stove, and dry food with room to spare. The foam lumbar pad and ventilation channels on the back panel distribute the weight across your hips, so your shoulders won't ache and make you want to take the pack off on long treks. The separate sleeping bag compartment at the bottom makes it easy to grab your bag, and the side compression straps cinch the pack tight so it doesn't sway as you walk. The rain cover usually stows at the bottom of the pack — mountain weather can change in an instant, so you can just pull it out and cover up in seconds.
