Razer Flagship Gaming Mouse Viper V4 Pro Now Available

After its release in 2024, the Razer Viper V3 Pro has received widespread acclaim among gamers and in professional competitions. After two years, Razer has finally updated their flagship symmetrical gaming mouse: the Viper V4 Pro.

With this update, the market-tested design hasn't changed significantly, but the mouse is now lighter overall and supports both wired and wireless 8K polling rates, while greatly improving battery life when using wireless 8K mode—no more daily charging. The switches have been upgraded with crisper clicks and rebounds, and the scroll wheel is now optical for significantly extended durability. It supports the web version of Razer Synapse, and the hemispherical sensor has been upgraded to match the new Viper Ultimate.

The Editor believes that while the shape hasn't received major updates, pain points like the scroll wheel and Razer Synapse have been resolved or upgraded. Improvements to the coating and mold lines are subtle refinements that can only be appreciated with hands-on use. Although the Razer Viper V4 Pro's incremental update isn't as dramatic as Logitech's PRO X2 SUPERSTRIKE with its electromagnetic switches, the advantage is that players can upgrade without a lengthy adjustment period. Overall, it's definitely worth purchasing for peripheral enthusiasts seeking ultimate performance.
