Next-Generation MacBook Neo Specifications Leaked

Last week (April 7, 2026), a supply chain report revealed detailed plans for the MacBook Neo successor. Although the current model set an exceptionally impressive first-week sales record, A18 Pro chip inventory is running critically low due to demand far exceeding expectations. Apple is now accelerating the development of the second-generation product equipped with the A19 Pro chip.

: At this price, why not consider buying a refurbished M3/M4? If that's not an option, a used one is also around this price. Spending $500-600 on an older M3/M4 series device would be better than the A19, right?

: Better to spend a bit more and get the M5 MacBook Air, it's not that expensive. In the US region, without all the messy subsidies, the price difference isn't huge. If the Chinese market gets it down to just over 3000, that would be absolutely insane, everyone would be applauding . The market share for Windows PCs in the US is going to suffer, it's already not that big.

: Both Windows laptops and Chromebooks have seen price hikes, while the MacBook Neo is a dimensionality reduction strike. I originally thought it would take over a year to clear out the A18 silicon leftovers, but they were sold out within just a month of launch. The death knell for Windows has officially sounded, and with this positive cycle, Mac's market share is about to surge. It's hard to imagine what Windows or Chrome can do to compete.
