The main issue is that the hem is all tapered very narrowly, which makes legs look especially short. It's a bit better if you don't button it up, but I'm afraid of getting cold. I haven't tried sweater coats before; I've only tried trench coats. I'll give them a try next time. My whole family is tall, only I'm particularly short.
