Editor's Pick: It's been two years since the previous generation M4 iMac launched, and this time Apple skipped the M5 generation entirely, bringing the M6 chip directly to the all-in-one lineup. You can configure up to a 12-core CPU and 12-core GPU, delivering more powerful graphics rendering and multitasking performance. The newly upgraded dual 16-core Neural Engine, combined with a dedicated neural network accelerator built into each GPU core, enables the new iMac to achieve up to a 5x leap over the previous M4 models in specific on-device AI tasks. In terms of design, the new iMac is identical to the M4 model: a 24-inch 4.5K Retina display, 4480×2520 resolution, 500 nits brightness, P3 wide color gamut, and seven color options — blue, green, pink, yellow, purple, orange, and silver. The body retains its slim, unibody design, with a matching Magic Keyboard and Magic Mouse included in the box.

Combined with the all-new macOS, the new iMac's AI-related experiences are fully realized: system-level Siri can summarize content, generate documents, and retrieve information across personal data in apps like Spotlight, Mail, and Messages; the new Visual Intelligence feature supports a dedicated keyboard shortcut to directly launch context-aware visual queries about what's on screen; Safari adds automatic tab organization and website monitoring capabilities, and the Shortcuts app supports creating automation workflows directly through natural language, further lowering the barrier for everyday users to use AI features.
