Editor's Pick: When heading out solo with a backpack, tent weight and packed size are often the first things to consider. This one weighs just over 4 lbs (about 1.8 kg) in total and measures about 17 inches (about 43 cm) when packed, so it slides into a side pocket of your backpack with little trouble. The dual aluminum pole structure goes up fast without much effort. Both the rainfly and floor are seam-sealed for waterproofing, and the half-mesh inner wall provides enough ventilation on warmer nights so moisture doesn't build up. There's a small vestibule at the door for shoes and bags, so your sleeping area won't be taken over by clutter. Great for solo use on weekend getaways or long-distance hikes.
