: Personally, I don't think waiting for the new model is very meaningful—there's a reason it hasn't been updated for so long. Even if a new version is released, it would likely just feature a faster processor, more memory, and some gimmicky Apple Intelligence hype. Even if it supports 8K, improving the actual experience would require: 1. You own an 8K TV/monitor; 2. You have access to 8K video sources; 3. Your eyes can actually distinguish the difference between 4K and 8K at normal viewing distances. 个人觉得等新款没有太大意义，这么久不更新是有原因的。就算有新款无非是更快处理器，更大内存，加上没用的apple intelligence噱头。就算支持8k，想提升实际体验也需要：1. 你有8k电视/显示器；2.你有8k视频源；3. 你的肉眼能在正常观影距离内分辨出4k和8k的区别。
