Editor's Pick: When your lawn looks thin and yellow in spring, one application of this can help fill it in. It combines seed, fertilizer, and soil conditioner in one, so you don't need to buy and spread them separately. Just go over it once with a spreader and you're done. The tall fescue variety is drought-tolerant and stands up to foot traffic, making it great for families with kids or dogs. Keep watering after spreading, and within a few weeks new grass will sprout and gradually fill in those bare patches.
