: Oh wow, suddenly so many Strix Point haters popping up, all sounding so *technical*. Must be hardcore 24/7 productivity users who absolutely need sub-nanosecond cross-CCD latency, right? So here’s the question: *What* productivity app *requires* such low cross-CCD latency? Name one. None of the media reviews found any workload where Lunar Lake’s "advantage" actually mattered. Meanwhile, Lunar Lake butchered hyper-threading, AVX512, and core count, then needed 3D stacking and MoP just to *match* memory latency—yet still shows zero real-world productivity gains. If you’d criticized AMD’s iGPU for lacking H.265 10-bit 422 support (where Intel *does* crush it), I’d take you seriously. Even Intel’s own slides don’t hype Lunar Lake this hard. If it were *that* revolutionary, why’s Intel still fire-selling its campuses? [狗头]

: Trust me, you can only pick one: big.LITTLE or hyper-threading. Anyone who’s tinkered with Xeon knows hyper-threading has scheduling issues too. Those who’ve used big.LITTLE know its scheduling is equally cursed. AMD somehow managed to combine the worst of both worlds—big.LITTLE, CCX, *and* hyper-threading scheduling flaws. I have no idea what they were thinking. Apple handed them a perfect blueprint for laptop processors, and they still flunked the copy-paste test. The optimal laptop solution right now is big cores + super cores, with all peripherals integrated into the SoC. That’s the only viable answer this generation. After Lunar Lake drops, only Apple and Lunar Lake will matter for non-gaming laptops—everything else might as well be dead on arrival.

: AMD's big.LITTLE architecture is truly garbage. Lunar Lake features big cores + super cores, and its big core performance already surpasses AMD's big cores in single-threaded tasks. Plus, Strix Point doesn't share L3 cache across cores—it's just glued together. The scheduling is a mess; you have to disable the small cores for gaming, otherwise the cross-CCD latency becomes a dumpster fire. Some on Zhihu even joked it's like a 12-core i3 processor. And let's talk battery life: Lunar Lake dominates everything except Apple. PS: Strix Point's GPU memory bandwidth is too low—in real-world gaming, it often underperforms even Lunar Lake's notoriously bad drivers. AMD's iGPU without on-package memory means the 780M is basically its ceiling. Strix Point is genuinely terrible. For ultra-thin laptops, you'd pick Lunar Lake or M3/M4; for regular laptops, Arrow Lake or Zen4. There's zero scenario where Strix Point makes sense, especially when it's pricier than Lunar Lake.

: I'm a simple person; I don't care if it's Lunar Lake or Ryzen AI. As long as you give me a good discount, I'll buy it [dog head]

: Again with the inter-core latency issues and claims that it's not as good as Lunar Lake... I'm just curious about what kind of person plays games, especially online games, on an ultrabook. Do people buying Apple's M chips or Lunar Lake really care about gaming? Not to mention that the BIOS has already been fixed, and even if inter-core latency is high, how many people are actually affected? Do people buy ultrabooks just for gaming? As for daily office work and productivity software, I don't see Lunar Lake outperforming in any way. It has just 4P+4E, and even Intel's official presentations don't boast about multi-core performance. As for Apple M, there's not even an x86 environment...

: Might as well just buy Lunar Lake. This is the x86 chip that's most like Apple's M4.

: Big-little cores that are even worse than Intel's. CCX latency is through the roof, and four big cores aren't enough for gaming workloads—performance drops off a cliff once you go beyond four. According to GeekBay's tests, several games show performance that's downright underwhelming.

: This price truly leaves no room for the poor. I'll slowly wait for it to drop to 599.
