Editor's Pick: If your room is small but you still want a desk, this raised-bed design is really practical. There's a desk and two shelves underneath, so homework and reading have a dedicated spot, and you won't have to pile keyboards and books on the bed. The guardrail is wrapped in breathable Textilene fabric, so leaning against it doesn't feel like hard metal. The frame is metal with 14 wooden slats, so it doesn't creak much when you roll over, and the mattress goes right on top—no separate box spring needed.
