: I don't know what this year will be like, but last October, when the M3 Pro was released, there were discounts in late November and December. For example, B&H discounted the M3 Pro base model, originally $1999, to $1749 in early December last year. Personally, I think you should wait a few weeks before buying. For the M4 Pro $1999 version, which is quite worth getting, if you see it discounted to $1799, you can pretty much go for it. If you see it discounted to $1749, it basically won't get any cheaper in the next three or four months. Also, keep an eye on B&H; it's a good place to buy MacBook Pros online. 我不知道今年会怎么样，但是去年10月m3 pro发布，十一月底和十二月就有折扣，比如B&H在去年十二月初原价1999的m3 pro基础版打折到了1749。我个人以为你应该等几周再买，对于比较值得入手的m4 pro 1999刀版本来说，如果你看见打折到1799，那基本上可以出手了，如果你看见打折到1749，那基本上三四个月内不会更便宜了。另外，关注一下B&H，那是一个网上买macbook pro的好地方

Now, the base Air on Apple’s official website comes with 16GB RAM, for the same price as the previous 8GB version. : 8GB really isn’t enough. I just ordered a Mac Mini with 64GB. I’m the kind of person who uses Chrome with tons of windows open for long periods of time—easily over a hundred tabs in total. That’s an old coder habit, and this kind of usage absolutely eats up memory. 8G确实不够用。刚刚下单买了64Gb的Mac Mini。我是那种用chrome长时间有多个窗口，同时开着的所有tab加起来上百个的那类人。码农老习惯了。我这使用方式最吃内存。
回复 @匿名用户 : Pretty much. Compared to Chrome eating up 10-20GB, IDEs and containers are nothing. Low-memory machines crawl when swap gets heavy. 算是吧，IDE和container那几个Gb在chrome动辄十几二十个Gb面前都不算啥。用小内存的机器swap一多就卡的要命。
