Editor's Pick: The RE Engine remake is truly stunning—at 4K, the lighting and shadow depth crank the horror atmosphere to the max. Parrying enemy attacks with your knife is the new core mechanic this time around; successfully deflecting a lunge and countering feels way more intense than the original. Inventory management returns with the classic briefcase system, and you can craft ammo and attach charms for extra customization, making resource planning more flexible. If you loved the original story but want modern controls and gameplay, this remake is absolutely worth a try.
