Editor's Pick: When kids first learn to ride, the biggest worry is losing balance and falling. The 12 to 16 inch models all come with training wheels, so they can build stability first and then transition naturally when the wheels come off. The frame is steel, and the tires are 2.4 inches (about 6 cm) wide, so riding on the brick paths in the neighborhood isn't too bumpy. The brake lever reach is short, so little hands can grip it easily. It also comes with a BPA-free water bottle, so you don't need to carry water separately for a ride around the block. The seat and handlebars are both adjustable, so your child can keep riding for a while as they grow.
