Editor's Pick: If you want to hang some ambient lights on your backyard patio, these G40 round bulbs give off a softer glow than thin string lights, so they won't be harsh on the eyes when you're sitting and chatting at night. Each bulb is only 1 watt, so running them all night barely uses any electricity. Bulbs are spaced 24 inches (about 61 cm) apart, and 100 feet (about 30 m) is enough to stretch across an entire yard, plus you can connect a dozen or so strands as extensions. Hook up a dimmer and twist it whenever you want it brighter or dimmer.
