Editor's Pick: If your feet get cold working from home in winter, this heats up pretty fast—turn it on and count to three and you can feel the warm air. It has three heat levels plus a fan-only mode, so when it gets too hot you can switch to the fan, which also works in summer. Set the thermostat knob to a comfortable level and the machine monitors the room temperature itself, so you don't have to keep getting up to adjust it. It has built-in overheat protection and tip-over shutoff, so it won't cause trouble even if kids or pets bump into it. It's lightweight, and the handle lets you carry it from the bedroom to the study in one go.
