: This is a good price, but this laptop have some nasty cons here: 1. The memory speed is BIOS locked by Dell, any memory not directly purchased from Dell will only run at 2400, which is quite a waste on a high end desktop 8 core cpu. 2. The most recent BIOS are heavily temp throttle, cause GPU core frequency jump from 1700 to 300Mhz because of they can't solve the issue of some laptop burning issue, so they added this restriction on every new BIOS since then, you can flash old version BIOS to bypass, but with sacrifice some new features. 3. Even it's debut tout desktop upgradable. Gen 9 Intel is a dying breed, 9900k is the end of line, and thermal capacity won't grant you too much headroom. The also abandon their GPU exchangeable design, so you'll end up with RTX 2080. All in all, lots of promises in CES 2019, but bad execution, poor BIOS upgrade and service create such a disaster in this model series.
