Editor's Pick: When chopping ribs or cutting up a whole chicken at home, an ordinary kitchen knife usually means sawing back and forth. The 7-inch cleaver in this set has enough heft to cut through cleanly in one stroke. The German high-carbon steel blade is hand-sharpened, making it easy to slice meat and mince fillings, while the other two—a santoku and a small knife—are just right for fruits and vegetables. The handle fits comfortably in your hand, so you won't tire easily even after chopping for a while. Wipe dry and store after use to prevent rust.
