Editor's Pick: When you're pitching a tent in strong wind, stakes that won't hold are a real headache. This set is made from 7075 aluminum, each stake is just 7.25 inches (18.4 cm) long and weighs less than an ounce, so it's not a burden for backpackers to carry. The Y-shaped cross-section design keeps them from spinning loose in dirt or sand, and the red paracord pull loop at the top is easy to use, so you don't have to squat on the ground digging for ages to pull a stake out. 16 stakes come with a storage bag, handy for tarps, inflatable castles, and backyard sun shades.
