Editor's Pick: When painting walls or giving furniture a color refresh, tape along baseboards and window frames, then slowly peel it back once the paint is fully dry—the tape comes off together with the paint film, leaving fairly clean edges. The adhesion is strong enough that it doesn't lift much on wood floors or carpet, and removing it within a day leaves basically no residue. Keep a roll in your toolbox; it's also handy for temporary fixes.
