: Thank you for your feedback! Tencel fibers themselves are derived from natural wood, such as birch. The greatest characteristic of wood fibers is their excellent moisture absorption, even better than pure cotton. Therefore, if soaked in water for too long, Tencel fibers can easily absorb too much water or experience excessive friction during the washing process, ultimately leading to fiber breakage and pilling on the surface. Tencel that has been excessively dehydrated can also easily shrink or wrinkle, affecting its overall appearance. Additionally, Tencel is not suitable for any high-temperature environments; high-temperature drying, sun exposure, and ironing should all be avoided to maintain Tencel's soft and silky feel. Therefore, the common wash-and-dry methods in the US are not suitable for Tencel bedding. Tencel fibers are inherently delicate and fragile, so some pilling will inevitably occur after prolonged use and friction. For those who, like me, prefer not to fuss, it's still recommended to choose long-staple cotton or pure cotton fabrics, which can be frequently washed and dried without issues! My Tencel quilt is used layered with other winter quilts, so I wash it only occasionally. It's been three years, and it still looks new with almost no pilling. Subsequently, Tencel fibers are spun into yarn, woven into fabric, and used in Tencel products, making it an environmentally friendly green fiber for the planet~ 正确来说, 天丝取材于可再生木源, 提炼出木浆, 再透过加工制成人造纤维。而后天丝纤维被加工成纱线、编织成布料, 再应用到天丝产品中, 是一款对地球环境友善的绿色纤维~
