Editor's Pick: LEGO has officially unveiled the new LEGO Super Mario series, and the biggest surprise is that Super Mario finally makes his debut as a classic LEGO minifigure! The series is upgrading from its original interactive gameplay to focus more on free building and role-playing, letting fans create their own Mushroom Kingdom adventures.

The first wave includes 8 sets, ranging from the $9.99 "Mario Pipe Jump" to the $99.99 "Fire Mario and Bowser's Castle," along with classic scenes like Mario Kart, Beach Vacation, and Luigi and Bowser Jr. Racing. Popular characters such as Mario, Luigi, Bowser, and Yoshi all make an appearance, plus a brand-new Fire Luigi minifigure! Some sets are also introducing 4+ options for younger builders, making it easier than ever to jump in. The full series officially launches on January 1, 2027 — Super Mario fans can start getting excited!
