Editor's Pick: The entire hammer is forged in one piece, with the head and handle connected as a single unit, so the striking force transfers directly when you swing it — unlike assembled hammers that loosen at the head over time. The handle is wrapped in shock-absorbing rubber, so the vibration after a dozen consecutive strikes is noticeably lighter than with an all-steel hammer. The 22oz weight is just right for framing and nailing studs, and the smooth face helps prevent marks when driving nails.
