New Camera Body: Sigma FP2
The Sigma FP2 continues the fp series' modular concept as the "world's smallest full-frame body," with core upgrades focused on the sensor and video performance. It features a 24.5-megapixel partially stacked full-frame CMOS sensor with faster readout speeds, significantly reducing rolling shutter, and supports higher-spec burst shooting and video recording.
For video, it supports 6K Open Gate full-sensor readout, internal Apple ProRes RAW recording, up to 14.1 stops of dynamic range (L-Log), and 32-bit float audio (requires specific accessories). Autofocus performance is improved with added bird detection, and electronic shutter burst shooting reaches up to approximately 20fps. The body weighs approximately 376 grams (excluding battery), adds a flip-out LCD screen, has 70GB of built-in storage, supports SD cards and USB-C SSD expansion, and offers approximately 30% longer battery life for about 370 shots. Note that this camera has no in-body image stabilization, no built-in viewfinder (requires external EVF-21), and no mechanical shutter, so flash sync is limited.
Pricing: FP2 body at $2,199 / RMB 12,999, FP2 + EVF-21 viewfinder kit at $2,749, available on November 11, 2026.
New Lens: Sigma 50mm F1.4 CL DG | Contemporary
A full-frame prime lens focused on compactness and image quality, weighing only 375 grams. It features an 8-element, 6-group optical structure with an all-metal barrel, available in silver and black, with a design emphasizing soft, dimensional, and warm tonal rendering. For focusing, it is equipped with a newly developed Rotary Direct Drive (RDD) motor that achieves autofocus through full-group movement, balancing performance with a compact size. The lens is available in L mount (Sigma/Leica/Panasonic) and Sony E mount versions.
