Editor's Pick: This lens integrates stereoscopic shooting into a compact design that fits the profile of a traditional 2D lens, offering Canon EOS R7 users a more budget-friendly option. The lens-plus-camera setup lets creators capture 3D VR video content, compatible with devices like Meta Quest 3 and Apple Vision Pro.
The RF-S7.8mm F4 STM Dual lens has an aperture range of f/4 to f/16, supports autofocus, and features a button and control ring for separately adjusting manual focus on the left and right views, with a 63-degree angle of view. It uses the standard RF mount, and its lens spacing is only 11.8mm (0.46 inches), making it more compact than existing Canon 3D dual fisheye lenses. It's ideal for shooting subjects at distances of 6 to 20 inches (15 to 51 cm) to achieve a pronounced 3D effect.
