Following the October 2019 release of the now-retired Technic Land Rover Defender 42110, LEGO has once again partnered with Land Rover to bring us the ICONS collection classic version of the Defender. When built, it measures 6.3 inches high x 6.3 inches deep x 12.6 inches long (smaller than the 42110 which measured 8.7 inches high x 7.9 inches deep x 16.5 inches long). While the 42110 was modeled after the 2020 vehicle, this 10317 design is a faithful representation of the original 1983 model, featuring a sage green body, white roof, black wheel accents, and brown interior. This immersive project allows LEGO enthusiasts and car fans to create, customize, and display their own collector's vehicle. This ICONS set includes front-wheel steering and suspension systems—features typically found in Technic sets—greatly enhancing playability and challenging builders' assembly skills.
