: It's a hassle. I've used both types. The cigarette lighter one is indeed more powerful and faster, but you have to maneuver the machine around inside the car or keep unplugging and replugging. The puncture leaks during cleaning and cementing. The cement isn’t for the plug—it’s applied to the awl. Its purpose isn’t to stick but to soften, filling gaps between the uneven puncture and the plug. Your plug method is slightly more tedious than a tire nail, which skips the cleaning step, but cementing is still a must. I’ve seen people insert a tire nail while pulling out the screw to maintain pressure, but without cement, it leads to slow leaks. Done right, a proper cement job can last 2-3K miles without needing air, matching the other tires’ pressure. 回复 @匿名用户 : I didn’t forget to seal it. See that lip balm next to the awl? It’s actually better than any cement—super sticky. I just poke the awl in to clean the puncture while also sealing the leak. Driving Uber, I clock 50K miles a year and get at least 8 nails. It’s all about practice making perfect 😭😭. 没有忘记封胶，你看锥子旁边的那个唇膏，其实这个比任何的胶都好用，它粘度非常高，锥子我直接插进去清创就可以了，同时封堵漏气。我开uber一年5万迈，一年至少得扎8个钉子。全靠熟能生巧😭😭
