Editor's Pick: My older cat curls up in a corner and refuses to move every winter, but once I put this pad down, she goes right over and lies on it. The temperature is controlled between 38 and 45°C (about 100 to 113°F), so it feels warm to the touch without being hot. The outer plush cover is removable and machine washable, and the inner layer is waterproof—just wipe it with a damp cloth if it gets dirty. The power cord is wrapped in a chew-resistant sleeve, so even if you have a dog that loves to gnaw on things, you don't have to watch it constantly.
