Editor's Pick: This set is inspired by the classic work "Bridge over a Pond of Water Lilies" by French Impressionist master Claude Monet. The original painting was created in 1899 and is currently housed at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York (shown below), with dimensions of 92.7 x 73.7 cm. This LEGO Art set, developed in collaboration with The Met, reimagines this Impressionist masterpiece using LEGO bricks.

According to the designers, the biggest challenge in translating Monet's Impressionist painting into brick art was recreating his soft yet rich brushstrokes. Through building techniques and color combinations, the set allows viewers to see brick texture details up close while achieving an Impressionist feel from a distance—simulating a visual effect similar to the original painting.

The set uses 3,179 pieces to create Monet's Impressionist-style scene, including classic elements like the bridge, pond, water plants, and water lilies. The design team utilized various LEGO elements (such as butterflies, flowers, and small accessories) to add layers of detail and present the rich colors of the natural landscape.

Using unique building techniques, horizontal and vertical bricks are combined to mimic the layered texture and color movement of Monet's brushstrokes.

Once completed, the set measures approximately 51 cm high x 41 cm wide x 4 cm thick (20 in x 16 in x 1.6 in). It can be hung on the wall using the built-in hanger on the back, serving as both a building achievement and home decor.

The instruction booklet also includes information to access an exclusive podcast hosted by The Met's curators, offering deeper insights into Monet and the inspiration behind the work.
