Editor's Pick: Following the launch of Dyson's first headphone product, the Dyson Zone air-purifying noise-canceling headphones, Dyson recently announced its second headphone model—the Dyson OnTrac over-ear noise-canceling headphones! Combining premium materials with ergonomic design, these headphones enhance both audio and noise-canceling performance while maintaining comfort.
In terms of design, the OnTrac offers four main color options and extensive customization choices. Interchangeable ear cushions and outer caps are available in various colors and finishes, allowing users to deeply personalize the headphone's look. The metal body features a CD-inspired glare texture on the side of the ear cups, and the headband arms can rotate and fold for storage.
As for specs, the OnTrac features 40mm, 16-ohm neodymium speaker drivers with a frequency response range of 6Hz to 21kHz. It supports active noise cancellation with a total of 8 microphones, reducing ambient noise by up to 40 dB at a high sampling rate of 384,000 times per second. Multiple noise-canceling modes are available, along with a transparency mode.
Additionally, the OnTrac headphones feature a unique control system, including a joystick for playback control and touch-sensitive ear cups for toggling ANC. Through the MyDyson app, users can monitor noise exposure levels and customize the equalizer settings with presets like Bass Boost, Enhance, and Neutral.
Battery life: The OnTrac uses two high-capacity lithium-ion batteries, offering up to 55 hours of playback with ANC enabled. A 10-minute charge provides 2.5 hours of listening time, while a 30-minute charge delivers 9.5 hours of use (both with ANC on).
