Editor's Pick: When friends come over on the weekend and you don't know what to play, this one's rules can be explained in ten minutes, and a round takes about half an hour to an hour. Each player holds destination tickets in hand, racing to claim routes while blocking others from cutting in, and when choosing routes you also have to figure out which one is more worthwhile. The board is a North American railway map, and placing the little trains on it feels really satisfying. Kids ages eight and up can play.
