Editor's Pick: The Edifier S5 has finally launched in North America! As the successor to the S3, the S5 also features planar drivers, even though it's called Stax 😜. However, Edifier also acquired Audeze, so it's not hard to guess that their planar drivers likely share a similar structure to Audeze's.

The S5 headphones are equipped with Qualcomm's wireless chip, supporting Bluetooth 5.4 and Snapdragon Sound certification, with full coverage of the aptX codec series including lossless aptX Lossless, and compatibility with LDAC/LHDC for high-quality pairing with most devices. It supports dual-device connection, but only single connection in high-quality mode. Meanwhile, the S5 retains a wired mode — just plug in a 3.5mm audio cable to switch.

Sound Review:

If some people still had doubts about the S3, the S5 can be said to have consistently positive reviews both domestically and internationally. However, it's worth noting that this is a headphone without active noise cancellation, so it's not suitable for those who absolutely need noise cancellation for their daily commute.
