Editor's Pick: If you're renting and want to change up your wall without touching paint, this peel-and-stick option that leaves no residue is a great fit. The backing paper has a grid and measurements printed on it, so cutting straight is easy, and one roll covers 9.5 square feet. The thickened vinyl material has some substance to it and covers up existing wall color and stains. Stick it behind the stove or in bathroom drawers, and if grease splatters on it, just wipe with a damp cloth. Peel slowly from the edge and apply from top to bottom, smooth it out with a squeegee or credit card, and if bubbles appear, lift it up and reapply.
