Editor's Pick: When measuring a room or cabinet, it's always a hassle trying to hold the tape measure by yourself and worrying it will retract. This one locks automatically when you release the handle, and you can read the numbers right off the backlit screen. Point the laser at a wall up to 131 feet (40 meters) away, press a button, and the number appears — no second person needed. Accuracy is within 1/16 inch, plenty for quoting dimensions when painting walls or laying flooring.
