Editor's Pick: You'll know it's time to change your fridge filter when you can smell it in a glass of water. This one comes with a chip, so your fridge recognizes it right away and you don't have to fuss with resetting. After filtering, there's much less chlorine taste and fewer impurities left in the water, and tea and coffee taste fresher too. The 3-pack lasts about a year and a half at a twice-a-year replacement pace, and swapping is as easy as twisting the old one off.
