Editor's Pick: "Nanjing Photo Studio" (Dead To Rights) is directed by Shen Ao, written by Xu Luyang, Zhang Ke, and Shen Ao, starring Liu Haoran, Wang Chuanjun, Gao Ye, and Wang Xiao, with special appearance by Zhou You, starring Yang Enyou, Harashima Daichi, and featuring Wang Zhen'er. The film will be released in China on July 25, 2025.

The film is based on actual photographic evidence of Japanese military atrocities during the Nanjing Massacre. It focuses on a refuge called "Auspicious Photo Studio" and tells the story of ordinary people who initially only wanted to survive the massacre. However, when they help a Japanese photographer develop film, they accidentally produce photos that prove the Japanese army's atrocities in the city. Faced with Japanese brutality, the suffering of their compatriots, and the survival of their nation, they ultimately decide to preserve these negatives.
