The annual Mid-Autumn Festival is just around the corner, and Costco has stocked several varieties of mooncakes. The classic Jinhua mooncakes, a budget-friendly favorite that returns every year, are still a great deal at $18.99.

Jinhua also has an egg custard mooncake option, also priced at $18.99.

A box of 6 Maxim's mooncakes is $34.99, which is quite reasonable for this brand.

Unfortunately, I didn't spot the highly talked-about Guangzhou Restaurant mooncakes that everyone's been raving about online. They're excellent quality, with salted egg yolks so rich they're practically oozing. I picked some up at another nearby Costco a couple of weeks ago, but this location doesn't seem to have them — maybe they're already sold out.

There are plenty of other Chinese-style pastries available too.

In addition to the $9.99 egg tart cake, I also spotted the $9.89 "ugly cake" this time.

For Mid-Autumn Festival, raising a glass to the moon is the perfect way to celebrate — and conveniently, there are lots of wines on sale right now. You can stock up early for a get-together with friends.

The World Cup is over, so tequila is on sale too.

There are also wines not on sale — feel free to browse the prices and get a sense of what's available.

If you don't drink, grab some soft drinks instead — Genki Forest is $13.99 after discount.

I've never tried this lychee juice before — not sure how it tastes. Two bottles for $7.29.

Gold kiwis are on sale.

Has anyone tried these cotton candy grapes? They really do taste just like cotton candy. Adults might find them a bit too sweet, but kids love them.

There's also a brand called Candyland with grapes named Candy Hearts — similar flavor to the ones above, with a hint of floral honey, and they're organic.

I've tried all the apple varieties, and I still prefer the organic Envy apples — sweet and crisp with just a hint of tartness. Highly recommend.

In the fruit section, there are also some dried fruits. This plum stuffed with lemon looks interesting, but I didn't dare to try it — I imagine it's quite tart.

Pork belly and tilapia both have additional discounts. But the pork belly portion is huge — it feels like bringing home half a pig!

There are also pre-mixed seafood blends — this combination looks perfect for a Cajun-style dish.

Crab legs, lobster tails, sashimi-grade fish, and more are all available.

Wanchai Ferry dumplings.

Thinly sliced beef and lamb rolls for hot pot are all here. The lamb rolls are even on sale.

I highly recommend this Frosty 3D fruit ice cream. A box of 3 mango + 3 peach flavors is $11.69 — compared to the $3-4 each at Chinese supermarkets, this is an absolute steal. The fruit shapes are incredibly realistic, and the design is thoughtful. There's a small square tray at the bottom that you can hold in your hand while eating, so no sticky mess when the ice cream melts. It comes with a lid, so if you don't finish it, you can cover it and pop it back in the freezer. The creamy fruit flavor isn't too sweet either. I've already grabbed one!

Anyone who's been to Taipei knows that getting a bowl of Fu Hang soy milk means waiting in line for over an hour. Now Costco has bottled Fu Hang soy milk! But I've heard it's quite sweet, so I didn't grab one — if you've tried it, feel free to share your thoughts below.

I'd heard that stinky tofu had made its way into Costco, and I spotted it this time too. Other than being quite spicy, the flavor is pretty standard.

Halloween candy is starting to appear, though the selection is still limited — I expect more will be stocked soon.

If you need Halloween costumes for your kids, better shop early. Based on my experience, sizes and stock run out fast.

These allium flowers in muted Morandi tones have a very Instagram-worthy aesthetic and have been quite popular in recent years.

The faux flowers are beautiful too — a mix of roses and hydrangeas that adds a lovely touch to any home. Perfect for those who don't want to deal with maintenance.
